ALEXANDRA BRING på Instagram: “Me in week 23, about 1.5 months ago almost 6 months pregnant. I never thought I was gonna post this picture, but on the other hand I never thought I would receive comments about my baby already being anorectic. So I think this post is very important: Before I was pregnant I thought pregnancy = a big round bump for 9 months and then comes the baby. Ok not exactly, but you get the picture. I waited and waited on my belly to turn into this but it didn’t happened until a few weeks ago, therefore no other preggo pics before because this is what it looked like and I just felt awkward trying to take pictures of my non existing pregnancy body of what I thought was the standard. My bump is smaller some days, bigger on other days and doesn’t look like I thought it would any day. My pregnancy made me realize that in the same way we are all different in our regular bodies, we are in our pregnant bodies too. My baby is growing exactly as she should, and I make sure I feed her with all that she needs. I really thought that I wouldn’t get any nasty comments about being skinny while I was 7 months pregnant, but hey I was wrong. I wanna use my platform to inform people without knowledge about this and maybe make them think twice next time. After receiving these comments, a lot of other mothers told me that they went through the same thing of other women leaving mean comments about their pregnancy bodies (even though you carry a child you still see you in the mirror and it’s not just a pregnant body that people can say whatever they want about). We are women. We are the only ones going through this. We need to support each other and appreciate the fact that we can make a life inside our belly! The next time you see a pregnant woman, keep in mind that her body is changing totally, she worries about EVERYTHING (saying she’s too big or small won’t help), she’s filled with hormones and probably exhausted by everything that is happening. Tell her she’s amazing. She’s beautiful. And she’s doing an amazing job instead ❤️ it’s already a heavy burden on our shoulders, let’s lift each other like the queens we are instead 👑”
